Is it possible to browse internet and learn?
Knowledge is information and being knowledgeable is to know a lot of information. Being educated is the ability to analyze, modify, and utilize information also the ability to create and contribute to the knowledge base. To me, internet can make you knowledgeable but not educated.
Having a private instructor encourages a regimented practice schedule that will include a variety of instructional materials, from finger exercises to related songs and coursework. A teacher can also structure lesson plans based around your own pace and skill level.
What are most common beginners pitfalls?
For beginners, it's impatience in disguise at the root of a lot of frustration during initial days. Many guitar students will learn part of a song and then move on to another song before they finish learning all the parts of the first one. So dont skip lessons. Master the one at hand before you move on.
Why Bollywood (Indian) songs and why not western songs initially?
Music has no language and learning western themes just sounds great as well when it's Guitar. My goal to use Indian songs as medium to teach guitar is students and parents can easily relate and connect to these songs. Parents can then be a driving force and be able to track the progress to some reference during child's practice session and apply instant correction factor.

What would you teach during coaching?
For beginners, linear teaching method may not work well since students progress slowly, or give up. For few, geometric teaching method that involves application and integration of wider range of necessary musical skills may work like a charm. Besides for beginners, music theory, finger exercises, etc. although useful areas of music infuse boredom and hurt confidence. Certainly some students can respond well to learning these areas from the very beginning, but many will not. I would start with basics such as how to hold the Guitar, Fingers, Frets, Strings names, Tuning, Strums etc. before any lessons to begin.
What are first songs, I should play on Guitar?
The first songs could be of your choice but I would prefer teaching songs that would involve application of the techniques taught during lessons.
I am new to guitar and know nothing in music. Whats the first step?

Are there any age restrictions?
I would recommend a student to be at least six years of age. Kids learn very fast and in no time have ability to bring down tears when they play. However there is no fixed age limit beyond this. Any person with a burning desire and determination to learn can get going. Certainly you get through difficult times when learning especially on your first instrument where you need to dramatically improve your musical understanding circumventing rhythm, chord, melodies etc. along with learning the instrument itself. So never think it’s too late to learn.
Would my fingers hurt ?
As a beginner your fingers may hurt, but eventually as you improve your muscle strength in your playing arm and form calluses on your fretting hand these aches pass by, especially if you continue to practice regularly, which is key.
